The Sfentoni Cave, in Zoniana in Rethymno, is one of the largest and most impressive caves in Crete. With rich geological formations of stalactites and stalagmites, the cave offers a unique experience for visitors. It stretches over approximately 3,000 meters, with 270 meters open to the public. Evidence of human presence from antiquity has been found here, making it significant from an archaeological perspective as well.
